GOODRICH EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION
TEACHER OF THE YEAR
SARAH NORKO

We annually recognize an outstanding teacher nominated by their fellow colleagues and selected by a committee of teachers and administrators. This year, one of our high school teachers, Mrs. Sarah Norko, has been named the Goodrich Educational Foundation, 2023 Teacher of the Year! Mrs. Norko is a supportive teacher leader in the English Department at GHS and a true champion for her students. She spends countless hours outside of the school day providing feedback and guidance to help students be the best they can be.
GOODRICH EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION
CITIZEN OF THE YEAR
PATTY PLANT

A long time resident and local business owner, Patty exemplifies qualities that make her a stand out in our community. She has never been about the accolades and I am sure would rather downplay this award rather then accept all the praise she deserves so much. She has literally fed our community for over 27 years as the owner of Cranberries Café in Goodrich. Her family has been a part of Goodrich Schools for as long as one can remember and has always been a huge supporter of the schools, our students, and staff. Patty sets the example for community engagement and for providing a service above self. We thank Patty for all of years of support and celebrate her as the 2023 Educational Foundation Citizen of the Year!
