GETTING TO KNOW MRS. TESLER...

Dear Goodrich Community,

My name is Melody Tesler and I am very excited to introduce myself as Goodrich’s Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) representative. I was invited into this position in the spring of 2023. I have four children in the district, two of my children receive special education services through an Individualized Education Program (IEP). I additionally have one child who receives accommodations through a 504 plan. Our children are receiving services under the eligibility categories, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Other Health Impairment (OHI) and Specific Learning Disability (SLD).

When determining where we wanted to settle down and raise our children, my husband and I knew we wanted to be close to family. While we are not Goodrich natives, my parents have lived in Atlas for over 13 years and we have family who attended and graduated from Goodrich. We’ve grown to deeply love and care for the community that we live in and our hope is that we can give back to that community in whatever way our life experiences lend us.

I am so grateful to be a PAC representative and to have the honor to work with our Special Education Director, Amy Lamiman. I hope that I can serve our school and community well, through sharing resources and bringing awareness and compassion for individuals with different learning and emotional needs, to our community.

For more information on the Parent Advisory Committee, what it is and what your representative does, please see the Fact Sheet link included with this letter.
I look forward to getting to know you, please feel free to contact me any time by email at [email protected] or by phone at (810) 845-4150.

Sincerely,
Melody Tesler
