GOODRICH KINDERGARTEN AND YOUNG 5'S PROGRAM: ONLINE REGISTRATION SCHEDULE IS NOW OPEN

Welcome to Goodrich Area Schools and a special welcome to Reid Elementary. We are looking forward to meeting you and your child. The educational focus at Reid Elementary is child-centered for grades Young 5's through First. It is our plan to provide your child with a rich, educational experience in a nurturing environment.

Kindergarten students must be five years old by September 1, 2026. If you feel your child is ready for school, but they turn five between September 2, 2026 and December 1, 2026, they may still be eligible for our Young 5's program. Please see the document "Kindergarten Age Waiver Request Form" located at the bottom of this web page for additional information.

Who Should Attend Young 5's?
It is Goodrich's practice that if your child turns five years old between September 2, 2026 and December 1, 2026 they may be placed in Young 5's to develop:

• Confidence
• Social Skills
• Oral language development
• Motor Skills
• Attention Span
• School Readiness     

Goodrich Area Schools uses an on-line registration (OLR) process,. To enroll your student you must complete the 2026-2027 on-line registration process for a new student.

BE SURE TO SELECT REGISTRATION FOR THE 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR

Cell phones are NOT recommended for OLR

When completing the on-line registration, you are required to upload a digital photo of the following documents before your child's enrollment will be accepted.   New Kindergarten students are encouraged to complete this process by April 1, 2026.

1. Michigan law requires the following documents when registering your child for school. You must upload a photo of the original documents during the online registration process:                                                                                                                                                                                 
   1. Official Birth Certificate (the document you purchase through the county).
   2. Three proofs of residency - one of which must show the school district in which you pay taxes. OR
   3. School of Choice approval letter (if applicable). Applications are submitted to the Board of Education during their open enrollment window. Please see the School of Choice tab on the District home page for information. On-line registrations of students not within Goodrich Area School District boundaries CAN BE SUBMITTED. These applications will be accepted once the School of Choice window opens and the approval letter has been received.
   4. Any custodial/legal papers pertinent to your child.
   5. Written verification of Immunizations (MICR Record) or approved County Waiver.  Immunizations and approved County Waiver must be completed prior to the start of school or your student will not be permitted to attend.
   6. Health appraisal (includes hearing/vision screening): due before school begins.
   7. Kindergarten Oral Health Assessment Form                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      
2. The following forms will need to be downloaded (see PDFs located below), printed, and uploaded during the OLR process:     
   1. Records release form
   2. Kindergarten Questionnaire
   3. IEP and/or 504 documents - Only necessary if your student has an active IEP/504
   4. Intent to Enroll/ Age Waiver                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   

If you do not have access to a computer, you may contact the office to schedule a time to use a school computer. If you do not have access to a printer, hard copies of the necessary forms will also be available in the office.

CURRENT CHILDREN'S CENTER PRESCHOOL STUDENTS or STUDENTS RECEIVING SERVICES THROUGH GOODRICH AREA SCHOOLS ONLY:

• The above students are loaded into our database system. Because your children are already in the system, you will enroll your child into Kindergarten through your ParentVue Account. If you do not have a ParentVue account, please contact the Reid office on instructions on how to access your ParentVue account.   Please do not enroll your student as a "new" student; this will lead to duplicate enrollments.

SCHOOL OF CHOICE STUDENTS ONLY:

• Students who will be School of Choice may complete the Online Registration form but you must have obtained your approval letter from the Goodrich District office BEFORE the Online Registration will be accepted.  Please check with the Goodrich Area Schools District Office or website at Schools of Choice on how to complete the Schools of Choice application.

KINDERGARTEN ROUND UP & PARENT INFORMATION MEETING FOR INCOMING STUDENTS

• This is for registered students only. (Date & Time announced in early spring)

Once you have registered and the appropriate documents have been uploaded, you will be given instructions on how to attend Kindergarten Round Up. ALL INCOMING STUDENTS SHOULD ATTEND ROUND UP.

Click here to begin the Online Registration process to enroll your Grade 1- 12 students in Goodrich Area Schools for the first time.   You will need to create a ParentVue account in order to register.

• Online Registration does NOT have to be completed at one sitting. Information entered will be saved so you may resume where you left off or start over the next time you log in.
• Because of the amount of information required to enroll a new student, cell phones are not recommended to complete the New Student enrollment process.   Computers are available in each of the building offices for you to complete the registration.   Please let the office know if you would like this accommodation.

If your student has been enrolled in Goodrich Area Schools in the past, you will already have a ParentVue account. Please contact the building office for your login information or activation key.

If you do not have an active ParentVue account, click on "Options" button and the link "I have an activation key and need to create my account'. You will need to have an email address and the 7-character authentication key. Follow the on-screen directions.

If you forgot your password, click on the "Forgot Password' link. You will need to enter your email address to reset your password.

Goodrich Area Schools has implemented an Online Registration (OLR) portal to allow New Student and Re-enrolling students to complete anytime, anywhere. It also allows our current families to update their address, health, and emergency contact information online in place of the normal 'beginning of year' packets. This should be a great time saver and once the information is entered, you will only need to review/update each year thereafter.

The Online Registration process (OLR) does NOT have to be completed in one sitting. The program will save your information entered to that point. When you log in at a later time, you may resume your current registration OR start new. You will need to complete all students in a family for the whole OLR process to be completed.
