Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) Online
Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS/SDS)
Our school district is committed to providing a safe and healthy learning environment for students, staff, and visitors. As part of this commitment, we maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS)—formerly known as Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)—for all hazardous chemicals used in our schools.
Safety Data Sheets provide important information about products such as cleaning supplies, maintenance materials, science laboratory chemicals, and other substances used in district operations. Each SDS includes details about:
- The product and its ingredients
- Safe handling and storage procedures
- Potential health and physical hazards
- Required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- First aid and emergency response measures
- Spill cleanup and disposal procedures
The district maintains these documents in accordance with the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA) Hazard Communication Standard and applicable state and federal regulations. Safety Data Sheets are readily accessible to employees and emergency responders and are available online through the VelocityEHS Accelerate program.
